Reaction rate based assay (A) of ammonium in the range of 0 to 800ppB carried at a sampling rate of 40s/hr yields a linear calibration response (B) when performed with a stop flow period of 45 seconds and in 13 cm long light path long flowcell thermostated at 40 C. By collecting baseline value (BS) at the start of incubation period and maximum response (WIN) at the end changes due to sample matrix (refractive index, color) will be eliminated since the measured response is due only to reaction of the analyte. The precision of the method in this range was average rsd.3.5%.
